About
I love the build side of engineering, from ideation in CAD to final review and customer handoff. I aim to lead my teams by serving them: clearing roadblocks, giving credit, and owning any negative outcomes. Jocko Willink's Extreme Ownership shapes how I think about my responsibility as a team leader.
Today I manage the Vehicle Software Engineering Directorate at Torch Technologies. I run cost and schedule across concurrent Army vehicle programs and act as the main link between engineers, customers, leadership, and vendors.
My background is mechanical/hardware design, electrical system integration, thermal propagation shielding, harness design, and manufacturing. I've launched an additive manufacturing lab, built production workstations, and served as factory acceptance test lead at supplier sites overseas. I'm used to working across sites and time zones.
Leadership & team impact
Led mechanical engineering for a military grade design center supporting more than 20 programs at the Detroit Arsenal. 40+ custom hardware and vehicle mounting designs generated.
Torch TechnologiesEngineered and integrated a custom hardware system from concept to delivery, including electrical interfaces, cable management, and power distribution.
Torch TechnologiesEmbedded at international supplier sites as factory acceptance test lead, approving production equipment before it shipped. Detected and resolved 33 issues with equipment performance in comparison to contract requirements prior to signoff.
Magna PowertrainWorking rapidly in triage, I developed two production assembly workstations that cut build time in half and reduced the error rate by 75%.
Magna PowertrainLaunched an additive manufacturing lab for rapid prototyping, which prevented significant plant downtime.
Magna PowertrainLed the team that rebuilt the warehouse layout, cutting annual operating costs.
Schneider ElectricLed a cross-functional team that designed and implemented a low-voltage wire harness system with more robust routing.
